Maybe this is not what we want.
From the start, we all want to wrong.Last night we all saw the Boston Celtics run the younger and deeper Philadelphia 76ers out of the TD Bank Garden and take Game 5 to give the C’s a 3-2 advantage over the Sixers. Tonight, the Miami Heat are expected to run the younger and deeper Indiana Pacers out of the Triple A, a place where the Heat have only lost once in this playoffs. Coincidentally, it was against the Pacers in Game 2.
The Celtics did their job to keep the hopes up of a possible Heat-Celtics rematch in the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals. A match-up every true NBA fan wants. We won’t be satisfied watching the Heat take on the Sixers. It will be a rout. We won’t be that happy watching the Celtics take on the Pacers. It’s basically Sixers-Celtics all over again. But most of all, we won’t definitely be willing to watch the Sixers take on the Pacers with the thought that either team will have to face the powerhouse Thunder or Spurs in the NBA Finals. We all want Celtics-Heat. Pierce on LeBron, Garnett on Bosh (if healthy), Allen on Wade, Rondo on Chalmers (passer vs shooter), and lastly … Bass on Haslem (who wouldn’t want that?!).
